Finally, a glimpse of spring here in Michigan! In the event space at the Homegrown Brewing Company the room was full of vibrant floral arrangements, geometric gold design elements, and beautiful teal accents, thanks to a group of very talented wedding vendors who came together to bring you this Geometric Spring Wedding Inspiration! I'm excited to share the details with you and introduce the skilled people who made it happen! But first, check out this amazing behind-the-scenes video put together by the team at Mission Point Films!
The invitation suite included a palette of navy, teal, and metallic gold. The blues blended together in a stunning watercolor texture, and the pieces were held by a touch of gold thread. This beautiful work was designed by Shelby at Stella Carta Studio (IG: @stellacartastudio).
The tables were arranged with white linens and gold chiavari chairs woven with chiffon; such an elegant touch! You can find these items and more through Special Occasions East; a full-service event rental company with a vast assortment of colors & styles of linens, chairs, and other items!
The beautiful gold table settings were arranged and designed by Lynsey, a top-notch wedding & event planner from Pixie Dust Events! She also created the custom favor boxes below, as well as out bride's canvas tote & makeup case! Check out her storefront for adorable custom favors, signage, & gift items.
Aren't these floral arrangements a delight?! The centerpieces and bridal bouquet were created by the lovely Lisa, owner of The Flower Kitten. She has a gift for finding the perfect combination of stems and colors to bring your vision to life! Even the groom's boutonniere had the perfect touch of teal ribbon, and she also added some chair flair!
It's all in the details... and the small, sparkly details are my favorite. If you're familiar with my work at Awakened Light Photography, you'll quickly see that I love to capture the delicate beauty of the rings, accessories (like these vintage earrings found at an antique store), or heirloom items, and my brides treasure these photos!
This beauty is Lex Kostulic, modeling extraordinaire. I worked with her on a fashion shoot recently and her ease & professionalism behind the camera blew me away. She makes my job so easy because she's such a natural! She was also named Miss Macomb Twp Teen USA 2017!
Her hair & makeup looks amazing thanks to the work of Christy Lindsey, a traveling hair & makeup artist from Burton, MI who is happy to meet you on-location to serve your bridal party! Click here to check out her latest work!
It was equally an honor to work with this handsome gentleman, Cameron Elijah. Not only is he fine model material, he also lifts, which came in handy while we were hauling chairs during setup! A true gentleman who was happy to lend a hand! And they do make quite the attractive couple!
My favorite words to hear are: "It's time for cake!" and on this occasion that couldn't be more true. This cake was spectacular! Diane from Finely Frosted designed & created this masterpiece of metallic gold, swirled teal, and a sugar crystal geode. It was the perfect fit for our teal & gold geometric decor!
This fantastic venue has so much character! Located in downtown Oxford, Michigan the Homegrown Brewing Company is a family owned & operated restaurant with their own line of craft beers brewed in-house and sourced locally. The upper level of this vintage brick building is perfectly suited for events and gatherings of up to 60 guests. I can say first-hand that their food is amazing AND the Powers family & staff are down-to-earth, friendly, helpful, and take great pride in their establishment. You'll love working with them! See below for more info & how to get in touch.
Yes, that camera man is there for a reason! Let me introduce you to two more people you'll find "behind the scenes" ... Mark and Jim are from Mission Point Films and as you've already seen from the video above, they do such a great job! They are very professional and also very considerate & a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend them to my wedding couples or anyone looking for documentary work!
We took the party outside, and in true Michigan fashion our "Spring" session was welcomed with a flurry of snowflakes!
It was such an honor to work with this group of talent! We hope you were inspired by our Geometric Spring collaboration, and if you have a need for any of the services shown above we would love to hear from you!
