The Belle Isle Boat House was the most AMAZING backdrop for this editorial shoot, and I couldn't be happier to see this historic venue coming back to life! Built in 1839 it was known as the Detroit Boat Club, but 100 years later had fallen into disrepair. Now it is being revived and word is getting out! With it's beautiful Spanish architecture, true vintage character, and views of the MacArthur Bridge on the Detroit River it's an ideal location for weddings & events looking for a venue that is full of unique charm and history! As you scroll through the photos below you'll see the grandest of ballrooms, beautiful overflowing floral arrangements, a gorgeous lounge area, a cake that looks like a painted masterpiece, and so many more perfectly placed details. Below you'll also find a list of the amazing vendors that came together to create this display of beauty!
